Product Description
The Mizhar is a frame drum originally from Syria, where it has traditionally provided the harmonic and rhythmic foundation of the ensemble. This Meinl Artisan Edition version is built from solid Siam Oak with a hand-selected goat skin head, delivering a warm, consistent tone thanks to a specially designed bearing edge.
The hides are of the highest grade available, selected for uniform thickness to give consistent warm tone and response. The bearing edge was invented by Norbert Eckermann (patent pending) and is engineered to ensure deep dums and crisp taks from the same drum.
An internal tuning system lets you adjust head tension as needed, and the Thumb Hole Grip makes the drum comfortable to hold during longer playing sessions. The logo is hot-branded on the inside of the shell.
