The Tama Rhythm Watch RW30 is the smaller, budget-friendly version of the legendary Rhythm Watch metronomes, with a belt clip for easy handling in the rehearsal room or on stage. It doesn't have every feature found on the bigger RW200, but the essentials are all here in a compact, battery-powered unit.

Everyday features

RW30 offers the usual subdivisions of quarter notes, eighth notes and sixteenth notes on the down or off beat, plus triplets – enough for most practice and playing situations. Beat division can be set from 1 to 9 beats per bar, and tempo ranges from 30 to 250 BPM. The backlit display keeps the tempo readable even in a dim rehearsal space, and the LED indicators clearly show the pulse and beat one of the bar.

The headphone output has strong amplification, making the metronome audible even in the middle of a full drum kit – a common weak point on cheaper metronomes. The clip on the back attaches to a hi-hat stand, music stand and similar, keeping it within easy reach.

The automatic shut-off powers down the RW30 after around 60 minutes of inactivity, saving the two included AAA batteries and one less thing to remember before the next rehearsal.
