Vic Firth American Classic Metal Nylon
Product Description
American Classic Metal is one of the heaviest sticks in Vic Firth's classic American Classic line, built for drummers who play hard and need a stick that can take it. The shell is made from hickory, a wood known for handling impact well and giving a full, solid feel in the hand.
The stick is extra long at 432 mm (17"), giving you a bit more reach and a heavier swing – useful if you play metal, hard rock or other styles with fast, powerful stick movement. At 16 mm (0.630") in diameter it's a genuinely thick stick, so you keep a stable grip even deep into a long, sweaty set.
The nylon tip gives a clearer, more defined attack on cymbals compared to a wood tip, while also holding up longer against wear. A solid choice if you want a heavy, durable stick for hard playing without losing control.
Vic Firth has been making drumsticks for almost 40 years and is today the world's largest stick manufacturer, which says something about the consistency you get from the American Classic line.
