• Vibraphone and glockenspiel from the metallophone family
• Captured at Galaxy Studios, Belgium. The same complex used for the Superior Drummer 3 core library and Orchestral Percussion SDX
• Vibraphone recorded in both the main hall and the smaller Studio 1
• Vibraphone sampled with both mallets and a violin bow, offering three completely different tonal takes
• Multiple microphone setups for mixing in stereo up to 5.0 surround
• Mix-ready presets for different configurations, microphone setups and tonal flavors
• A MIDI library unique to the product, so you can start creating right away

Sound Character

The vibraphone has a vivid tremolo and a long, sustained metallic timbre, while the glockenspiel delivers a bright, bell-like tone that cuts through in most musical contexts. Both instruments were captured with meticulous attention to detail in a studio built to withstand outside noise interference, giving a clean and natural foundation for sampling delicate instruments like these.

Flexibility in the Mix

Thanks to the array of microphones used during recording, you get presets covering everything from large-scale, orchestral mixes to more intimate and natural sounds. The vibraphone being captured in two different rooms, and played with both mallets and a violin bow, adds three distinctly different tonal options to choose from.

Who It's For

Metal EKX suits anyone looking to expand their EZkeys 2 library with melodic percussion. From orchestral arrangements to singer-songwriter, jazz, rock, electronic music and pop.
