Melancholic Rock

Product Description

Melancholic Rock is an EZkeys MIDI pack from Toontrack built around the streak of melancholy that has always been at the heart of rock, from acoustic ballads to full-on band compositions. It gives you a foundational collection of songwriting building blocks performed by a professional session player, evocative and melancholic but still uplifting.

The pack draws on the recent surge of mainstream and alternative rock artists mixing in elements from emo, pop-punk and post-punk, giving you piano ideas for songs that sound major even while sitting predominantly in minor.

• Piano/keyboard MIDI inspired by rock with a melancholic touch
• Performed by a professional session player
• 4/4 playing variations in straight and/or swing feel
• Tempos ranging from 76 to 212 BPM
• Song sections: intro, verse, pre-chorus, chorus and bridge

How To Use It

Drop the MIDI files into your EZkeys session as a starting point, swap sounds and build your own arrangement from there. With this tempo range and section coverage, the pack works for everything from quiet acoustic passages to driving full-band parts.

Who It's For

A good choice if you write or produce rock music in EZkeys and want a ready foundation of piano parts to build on, rather than starting from a blank page.
