Meinl Percussion Woodcraft Pickup Cajon, Betula pendula 19.75"x11.75"x12"

Product Description

The Meinl Woodcraft Pickup Cajon is a birch cajon with three built-in piezo pickups and its own volume and tone control, letting you plug straight into an amp or PA without extra microphones. The body is built from Baltic birch (Betula pendula) with a birch plywood front plate, and specially made vertical snare wires deliver a clear snare/treble sound.

The body is 9 mm thick, built from 7 plies of Baltic birch, giving the cajon both a solid bass response and a clear top end. Behind the front plate sit specially made snare wires mounted vertically, creating a distinct snare sound when playing higher up on the playing surface.

Pickup and mixing

The cajon has three built-in piezo pickups: two for the treble/snare sound and one for the bass sound. The volume and tone control on the side lets you dial in your own mix before the signal goes out via an instrument cable, which you connect to an amplifier or PA system.

Playing feel and build

The corners are ergonomically rounded for a comfortable playing feel during long sessions. The back features rubber feet and a sound port that opens up the sound further. The cajon fits the MCJB and MCJB-CG carrying bags.
