Meinl Sonic Energy Alpha 24 cm (9,4")

Product Description

The Alpha is a binaural tuning fork from Meinl Sonic Energy, tuned to 139 Hz and made from nickel-plated steel. It's larger and heavier than a standard tuning fork and is used for sound healing and relaxation practices that stimulate brainwave states binaurally.

The heavier build lets it resonate longer, so it needs to be activated fewer times during a session compared to a standard fork. The 139 Hz frequency sits within the alpha wave range (8–12 Hz), associated with a relaxed, calm state of mind, reduced stress and improved learning while awake.

Creating the binaural effect

Activate the Alpha fork together with the Master Fork 128 Hz (TTF-128, sold separately) and hold one fork to each ear. The brain perceives the difference between the two frequencies as a third, guiding frequency that helps steer you toward the desired brainwave state.

Good to know

People with epilepsy or heart conditions should be cautious of overstimulation when using this fork.
