Meinl Sonic Energy Solid, 17 toner - Acacia
Meinl Sonic Energy Solid Kalimba in acacia wood, 17 tones. Warm, harmonic C major sound, includes case, bag, cloth and tuning hammer.
Product Description
The Meinl Sonic Energy Solid Kalimba is a kalimba (thumb piano) crafted from solid acacia wood with 17 tuned metal tines set in the key of C major. Its harmonic tone sequence means every combination of notes sounds pleasant, whatever you play. A great choice for beginners and experienced players alike who want a portable instrument with a warm, meditative sound.
The kalimba, also known as mbira or sansa, is a traditional African instrument. It consists of a resonating body with tuned metal tines mounted on top, played with the thumbs. This model has a solid body made of acacia wood, giving it a full, resonant tone.
Sound and playability
The instrument is tuned to the C major scale, and thanks to the harmonic tone sequence, no combination of notes sounds out of place. This makes the kalimba easy to improvise on right away, while still offering expressive depth for more experienced players.
Included in delivery
The kalimba comes with a case, a cotton bag, a microfiber cloth for cleaning, and a tuning hammer for adjusting the tines.
