Meinl Percussion Tambourine Hihat 5" - Black
Product Description
The Meinl Tambourine Hihat (TMTH) is a two-part tambourine designed to be played just like a pair of hi-hats. The bottom half rests on your hi-hat seat while the top half attaches to your hi-hat rod, so you play it exactly as you would regular hi-hat cymbals. The result is a bright, controlled sound that blends well in low-volume setups, such as with a cajon or a small percussion setup where regular cymbals can easily become too loud.
- Works as a pair of hi-hats, played top and bottom together
- Bright, controlled sound, perfect for low-volume situations
- Robust steel frame that handles playing with drumsticks
- Stainless steel jingles give a shimmering, bright tone
- 8 pairs of jingles on top and 8 pairs on the bottom
- Designed in Germany
Construction
The frame is made of solid steel and withstands playing with drumsticks without compromising durability. The jingles are stainless steel and are arranged in pairs, eight pairs on top and eight pairs on the bottom, giving the tambourine its shimmering, bright tone.
Who It's For
A good choice if you want to add hi-hat feel to a setup where regular cymbals become too dominant, such as acoustic cajon setups or other low-volume situations.
