Meinl Percussion Medium Octave Steel Tongue Drum B Minor 10" - Black

Product Description

The Meinl Sonic Energy Medium Octave Steel Tongue Drum is a 10" steel tongue drum made from high-quality stainless steel, tuned in B minor. Its eight tongues span two octaves and produce a warm, meditative tone reminiscent of a handpan. Great for relaxation, meditation or simple melodic playing.

Play it with your fingers or with the included mallets, resting it on a table or in your lap. A sound hole in the bottom can be sealed with the included silicone plug for a more compact, muted tone, or left open for a fuller, more resonant sound. Three silicone feet on the bottom keep the drum steady while playing.

Tuning and Notes

The drum is tuned to B minor with a reference pitch of A4/a' at 432 Hz. The eight notes are F#3, G3, B3, C#4, D4, E4, F#4 and G4, spread across two octaves, making it easy to find pleasing combinations no matter where you start playing.

What's Included

The drum ships with two wooden mallets featuring soft-wrapped rubber heads, along with a nylon gig bag with zipper and handle for easy storage and transport. The drum is black and features a decorative nylon cord around the shell.
