Meinl Percussion Medium Octave Steel Tongue Drum 10" - Gold

Product Description

The Meinl Sonic Energy Medium Octave Steel Tongue Drum is a 10" stainless steel drum with eight tuned tongues spanning two octaves. It produces a warm, meditative sound reminiscent of a handpan, great for relaxation as well as playful music-making. Mallets and a carry bag are included.

The drum is tuned in C Major (A4/a' 432 Hz) with the notes A3, C4, D4, E4, F4, G4, A4 and B4. You can play it with your fingers or with the included mallets, simply placed on a flat surface or on your lap.

Construction and Sound

A sound hole in the bottom can be sealed with an included silicone plug for an even more compact, focused tone when you want slightly less resonance. Three silicone feet on the bottom keep the drum steady whether it's resting on a table or your lap.

What's Included

The drum comes with two wooden mallets with soft rubber-wrapped heads, a nylon gig bag with zipper and handle, and a decorative nylon cord around the drum.

Who It's For

A great entry point for anyone exploring meditative percussion, and a nice addition for percussionists looking for a calmer, melodic sound alongside their kit.
