This bongo from Meinl Percussion's Traditional Series in Wine Red delivers a classic, warm tone thanks to Remo Black Calfskin Skyndeep heads and traditional straight 5 mm TTR rims. The 6 3/4" (macho) and 8" (hembra) size is the classic bongo pairing, for authentic acoustic bongo sound at home, in the rehearsal room or on stage.
The shell is built from Siam Oak, with the two drums joined by a wood block connection, a traditional construction that gives stability and good resonance. The lugs are 8 mm tuning lugs and the hardware is black powder coated, giving a clean, durable look together with the Wine Red finish.
A tuning key and tune-up oil are included, so you can fine-tune the heads and maintain the bongo right out of the box.
