• Black powder-coated hardware
• 2.5 mm SSR tuning hoops and 8 mm tuning lugs
• Selected buffalo skins
• Free Ride Suspension System
• Accessory bag, tuning key, and Tune Up Oil included

Construction and Feel

The shells are made from Siam Oak with a high-gloss natural finish (High Gloss Natural, NT), giving the bongo a warm, presentable look while the hardware stays understated in black powder coat. The 2.5 mm SSR tuning hoops combined with 8 mm tuning lugs provide stable tuning and a solid grip when tightening. The selected buffalo skins are chosen to give the bongo an authentic, open tone right out of the box.

Free Ride Suspension System

Meinl's Free Ride Suspension System reduces contact between the shell and the rim, letting the bongo resonate more freely and hold its tone better over time.

Who It's For

A good choice if you want to step up from an entry-level bongo without going all the way to a professional model. You get real buffalo skins, a proper tuning system, and a complete starter package in one purchase.
