• ABS plastic shells that hold up better to travel and temperature changes than wood
• Selected buffalo hides for a classic, warm bongo tone
• Black powder-coated hardware
• Tuning key included
• Creamsicle finish gives the pair a distinctive look

Construction

The shells are molded from ABS plastic, a material that's notably tougher than wood and handles temperature swings and general wear well, ideal for bongos that travel to gigs. The heads are selected buffalo hide, held in place with black powder-coated hardware, and tuning is straightforward with the included tuning key.

Who It's For

The Journey Series is a great starting point for new bongo players who don't want to compromise on durability, but it also suits the touring percussionist who needs a pair that can take the wear of the road. To expand your setup, the Headliner bongo stand THBS-BK and Meinl bongo bag MSTBB1 (also fits MBB-BK) are natural companions.
