Meinl Percussion Jingle Tap

Product Description

The Meinl Knee Pad Jingle Tap KP-JT-BK is a small cajon add-on: a wooden box with tambourine jingles on the inside, shaped to rest on your knee while you play. On top sits a small striking surface where you play with your fingers, adding an extra jingling layer of sound without bringing a big new piece of gear into your setup.

The box is cut out to sit comfortably on the knee, and the jingles inside give a tambourine-like sound each time you tap the surface on top. The add-on is primarily made for cajon players who want to find new sounds without changing the cajon itself, but it works just as well in other settings where you want to widen your sound palette with a handheld percussion element.

Who It's For

A good choice if you already play cajon and want to add a jingling extra sound you control yourself with your fingers, or if you're looking for a compact way to bring tambourine jingle into an acoustic setup.
