Meinl Percussion Gravity Bell - Black
Meinl Gravity Bell, steel damper bell with black finish. Adds controlled, compressed sound to snare drums and floor toms.
Product Description
The Meinl Gravity Bell (MGB) is a heavy steel damper bell that sits directly on the head of a snare drum or floor tom. It effectively dampens unwanted overtones for a more compressed, controlled drum sound, and you can also play directly on the bell with drumsticks for unique metallic effects.
- Effectively dampens the drumhead and reduces unwanted overtones
- Can be played directly with drumsticks for unique metallic effects
- Made from a special steel alloy with a durable black finish
Placing the bell on the head gives you a tighter, more controlled sound without changing heads or fitting permanent dampening. You can also use its surface as a small percussion instrument in its own right, adding a distinct metallic accent that stands apart from the drum's regular tone.
