• Signature model developed together with Diego Galé
• Deep pitch with dry overtones
• Royal Gold finish
• Works both mounted on a drum kit and in stand-alone percussion setups

Background

Diego Galé has dedicated his artistic life to Afro-Cuban music, starting out on bongos at an early age and later moving on to congas. The instruments in Meinl's Diego Galé Artist Series are built to his own requirements for comfort, look and sound, both in the studio and live.

Sound Character

The bell has a deep pitch with dry overtones, giving it a clear presence in the mix without becoming shrill or overly ringing. It suits Afro-Cuban rhythms and timbale-style playing, but works just as well in other musical contexts where a distinct bell sound is needed.

Who It's For

A good choice for drummers and percussionists who want a cowbell with real character, especially if you already play timbales or Afro-Cuban percussion. Though it works just as well as a standalone addition to a regular drum kit.
