Meinl Percussion Conga Artist Series Luis Conte 11 3/4"x30" - Natural, Matte

Product Description

This conga is part of Meinl's Artist Series, developed entirely together with Luis Conte, one of the world's most recorded percussionists. It combines the charm and sound of traditional Cuban congas with construction features from modern instruments, resulting in an extremely stable and well-built drum.

The shell is built from 2 plies of Rubberwood (Hevea brasiliensis Muell.-Arg.) with a natural matte (NT) finish. The hardware is finished in Black Powder with rubber gaskets for stability and quieter operation, and the tension hoops are 5 mm Traditional TTR. The tuning bolts are 8 mm, and the head is a Remo Nuskyn head, chosen to give a warm yet clear Cuban tone.

What's Included

The delivery includes a Conga Saver (protective plate), a tuning wrench, and Tune Up Oil for head maintenance.

Build a Conga Series

The conga can be combined with the LCR11NT and LCR1212NT for a complete Luis Conte series in different sizes, and it fits the Meinl Conga Bag MCOB-1134 carrying case.

Who It's For

A conga drum for players who want the traditional Cuban tone but with hardware and stability that hold up to regular stage and studio use.
