The Meinl Artisan Edition AE-ATA1S is a 10" maple tambourine fitted with one row of nickel-plated steel jingles. Its special jingle profile produces a warm, dark vintage sound with an airy yet precise attack and medium sustain. The shell is built from 9-ply maple laminate (Adcer sp.), giving the instrument a stable foundation for its tone. The jingles sit in extra narrow slots, which helps produce a fast, precise sound response when played. The tambourine also has a built-in inner handle/grip for comfortable playing during longer sessions.
