18" Meinl Trash Crash Cymbal - Traditional

Product Description

The Meinl Trash Crash 18" is a holed crash cymbal in B8 bronze, delivering a raw, fast sound that sits between a crash and a china. A great way to add a distinctive extra sound to your setup without breaking the bank.

The cymbal belongs to the HCS Bronze series, a B8 bronze alloy that sounds noticeably bigger and better than the price tag suggests. The series works great for schools and youth centers, but holds its own on a rock club stage too.

Sound Character

The drilled holes in the cymbal give it more life in the sound, a faster attack, and shorter sustain than a regular crash. The result is a sound that sits between a crash and a china, explosive and clear in character, with a bright timbre and a high pitch. Volume and sustain sit at medium level, making the cymbal easy to control in the mix.

Construction

The cymbal is lathed using a wide blade technique and shaped with Pressure Point Technology, giving it its characteristic response. The finish is Traditional. The material is B8 bronze, made in Germany.

Who It's For

A great cymbal for players who want a distinct, aggressive accent sound in rock and pop contexts, or for schools and rehearsal spaces that want a lot of cymbal for the money.
