Meinl Percussion HD16AB 16" - Matte African Brown

Product Description

The HD16AB is a traditional hand drum from Meinl Percussion, built from solid Siam Oak (Hevea brasiliensis Muell.-Arg.) with a pre-tuned goat skin head. At 16" it's easy to hold on your lap or between your knees, and being pre-tuned means you can play it straight away without extra tuning work.

Hand drums like this one are used across a range of percussive settings, from meditation and yoga to drum circles and acoustic jam sessions. The goat skin head gives a warm, natural tone with clear attack, and the Siam Oak shell adds stable resonance.

Construction

This model is also available with a pre-tuned Synthetic True Feel Head, a synthetic alternative to goat skin for players who want a more weather-resistant surface. This particular model (HD16AB) ships with genuine pre-tuned goat skin. The finish is Matte African Brown, a matte, earthy tone that complements the natural shell.

Who It's For

A good choice if you want a simple, authentic hand drum with no tuning hassle or special tools required. Suitable for beginners and for percussionists who want a natural addition to their setup.
