Meinl Percussion De Luxe CL18 7" x 3,4"
Claves crafted from dense hardwood for a bright, cutting tone with a higher pitch than the CL1RW.
Product Description
The Meinl Claves De Luxe CL18 are a pair of claves made from carefully selected, dense hardwood. The "four-four" of Latin music and as essential to the Latin band as the snare drum is to the drummer. The dense wood delivers a solid, bright tone with a higher pitch than, for example, Meinl's CL1RW, so it stands out clearly in the mix.
Claves are played by striking them against one another to lay down the clave pattern found in salsa, son and other Latin American styles. Their bright, focused tone cuts through even dense arrangements, making them an essential tool for any percussionist.
