Meinl Classics Custom Dark 10" Trash Splash - CC10DATRS

Product Description

The Meinl Classics Custom Dark 10" Trash Splash is a trashed splash cymbal with holes cut into the cymbal for a short, trashy sound. The series is made with a special heat-treatment process that brings out the full sound spectrum of the B10 alloy, giving the cymbals their distinctive dark look. A great choice for adding fast, trashy accents to rock, metal, pop and fusion setups.

• Short, trashy sound thanks to the holes in the cymbal
• Bright tone with clear shimmer, seasoned with a dark low end
• Medium-high pitch and medium sustain with a distinct spark-shower effect
• Medium volume with a brilliant, short decay
• Dark finish from the special heat-treatment formula

Sound Character

The tone is bright with a clear shimmer, but the extra hammering gives it a fuller low end than you might expect from a splash this size. Sustain sits at medium with a characteristic spark-shower effect, and volume is medium with a brilliant, short decay well suited to fast accents.

Construction

The cymbal is cast from B10 bronze (90% copper, 10% tin) and produced with hi-tech, computer-controlled manufacturing. The special heat-treatment formula gives the cymbal both its dark look and its unique sound, characteristic of the Custom Dark series.

Who It's For

A great effects cymbal for players working in rock, metal, pop, fusion or studio settings who want a short, distinct, trashy touch in their sound.
