Meinl Classic Custom Dark 18" Heavy Crash - CC18HDACDa

Product Description

The Meinl Classic Custom Dark 18" Heavy Crash is a heat-treated crash cymbal in B10 bronze with a fast attack and strong volume. It opens up instantly on impact, delivering a bright tone seasoned with a dark low end. A great choice for rock, metal and fusion players who need a cymbal that cuts through.

The special heat treatment brings out the full sound spectrum of the B10 alloy and gives the cymbal its distinctive dark look. The extra hammering adds a fuller low end, while the tone keeps its bright, clear character with a distinct shimmer in the overtones.

Sound Character

The attack is fast and clear, with medium sustain and a noticeable sparkle in the decay. Volume is strong, yet the tone stays brilliant and open rather than harsh. Pitch sits in the medium-high range.

Construction

The cymbal is made from B10 alloy (90% copper, 10% tin) using hi-tech, computer-controlled manufacturing and a special heat treatment formula that shapes both its look and its sound. The finish is Dark.

Who It's For

The 18" Heavy Crash suits players in genres where volume and cut are essential, such as rock, metal and fusion. The model is also available in 16".
