The Meinl Byzance Jazz Crash Thin is a hand-hammered B20 bronze crash cymbal, cast and processed in Meinl's Turkish factory for a warm, dark tone with a fine balance between crash and ride. The thin construction gives a soft, crisp attack that works as well in jazz settings as in pop, rock, funk, D&B and fusion.

The cymbal is hand-hammered from B20 alloy. 80% copper and 20% tin. And has a Traditional finish with a hand-lathed top and bottom. The cast blank is heated, rolled and cooled according to a carefully tested schedule before the bell is shaped and hand-hammering gives the cymbal its final character. Manufacturing takes place in Meinl's Turkish factory, while quality control and finishing are done in Germany.
