20" Meinl Byzance Foundry Reserve Crash Cymbal

Product Description

The Meinl Byzance Foundry Reserve 20" Crash is an exclusive, hand-hammered cymbal in B20 bronze (80% copper, 20% tin) from Meinl's flagship series. The extensive hammering creates a core-rich tone with shimmering highs and dark depth, at home in both studio and live settings.

• Wide dynamic range with a snappy attack and controlled sustain
• Delicate sparkle in the decay without becoming a washy blanket over the sound
• Also works for softer playing as a ride
• Made in Meinl's Turkish factory, quality-checked and finished in Germany

Sound and Feel

The extensive hand hammering creates a nuanced tone with shimmering overtones and dark depth in the same cymbal. Dynamic range is wide and sustain is controlled, so the clear, woody attack stays defined even as tempo or intensity increases. The decay offers delicate sparkle without turning into a washy layer over the whole mix.
