Meinl Percussion Bulería Line - Mongoy

Product Description

The Meinl Artisan Edition Bulería Line is a hand-built cajon from Spain where every detail is designed for maximum tone and playability. The Mongoy finish front plate works together with a built-in bass reflex system to boost the low end, while two groups of snare wires give unusually clear finger play.

The shell is built from 9-ply birch plywood (Betula pendula), 12 mm thick, giving the cajon stability along with a full, resonant tone. The special bass reflex system deepens and clarifies the bass response without losing attack on ghost notes and accented bass hits.

Snare wires for clear finger play

Behind the front plate sit two groups of 5 vertical snare wires each. This layout gives extra responsiveness and clarity for finger play, while the balance between top end and bass means both subtle nuances and powerful hits come through clearly.

Feel and construction

The corners are ergonomically rounded for a comfortable grip while seated and playing, and the cajon stands firmly on specially designed rubber feet that reduce unwanted sliding. Everything is made in Spain, following the same craftsmanship tradition as the rest of the Artisan series.

Who It's For

A great choice if you want a cajon with clear dynamics. From ghost notes and finger play to powerful bass hits. And appreciate a well-crafted, hand-built instrument.

Matching bag: Meinl MDLXCJB or MCJB (sold separately).
