Meinl Percussion Diego Galé Artist Series 7" & 8,5" - Fiberskyn

Product Description

Meinl Artist Series bongo signed by Diego Galé, built in Chamchuri Wood with REMO® Fiberskyn® heads in 7" (macho) and 8.5" (hembra) sizes. A rich, dynamic sound with clear top end and warm low end that works equally well in the studio and on stage.

Diego Galé, a Grammy-nominated producer, composer and instrumentalist, has dedicated his artistic life to Afro-Cuban music and his own way of making music with more flavor. He started playing bongos and congas at an early age, and Meinl's Artist Series Diego Galé model is built to give him exactly the comfort, look and sound he needs.

Construction and Sound

The shell is made from Chamchuri Wood and features the classic Meinl shape. The hardware has a Brushed Nickel finish and the shell a High Gloss finish, giving the bongo pair a distinctive, premium look. The heads are REMO® Fiberskyn® Symmetry Heads, an alternative to Meinl's True Skin Calf Heads, delivering a warm yet clear sound with a good balance between weight and tone.

Free Ride Suspension System

The bongo pair features Meinl's Free Ride Suspension System, a free-floating shell suspension that contributes to the instrument's characteristic resonance and balance between weight and sound.

What's Included

Included in delivery is an Accessory Pouch, an L-shaped tuning key, and Tune Up Oil for head maintenance.

Who It's For

A great choice if you play Afro-Cuban music or related styles and want a bongo pair with clear character, whether for studio recording or live performance.
