Meinl 18'' HCS Dark Crash, HCS18DAC
Product Description
The Meinl HCS Dark 18" Crash speaks up with a sustain that decays fast, giving you a naturally controlled touch as you play. It adds punchy accents, pairs well with other HCS crash sizes and has a dark finish that stands out.
Punchy Accents with Short Sustain
Short sustain and medium to low volume mean the crash gives you a clear accent without ringing on and drowning out the rest of the groove. The sound is harmonic and defined, with a low-mid pitch and a mid-dark timbre.
Brass Made in Germany
The cymbal is made in Germany from MS63 brass and shaped with Meinl's Pressure Point Technology. The dark finish gives it a look that clearly stands apart from regular shiny cymbals, and compared with standard HCS, HCS Dark has more controlled overtones and a shorter sustain.
Who It's For
HCS is Meinl's entry-level line and an affordable way to build your first cymbal setup, easy on both the ears and the wallet. The crash is a good choice if you want to expand your setup with a controlled crash, and Meinl names rock and pop as the styles it is mainly aimed at.
