Mapex MPX Maple/Poplar 13"x6" - Gloss Natural

Product Description

The Mapex MPX 13"x6" is a maple/poplar snare drum built for a warm, solid crack with great feel. It's one of the most affordable snares that still delivers real power and versatility.

The hybrid shell blends maple and poplar, two woods that complement each other to give a precise and controlled attack along with plenty of warmth.

Construction

The drum includes a mounting bracket for versatile placement in any setup, and features W-Mass lugs designed to keep the visual profile consistent with Mapex's higher-tier series. The Armory Series throwoff runs smoothly and quietly.

SONIClear Bearing Edges

SONIClear bearing edges move the contact point between shell and head further toward the center of the shell rather than the outer edge, making the head seat more evenly. This makes the drum easier to tune, allows tuning lower while keeping a full sound, and reduces the highest overtones for a more controlled tone with longer sustain.

Who It's For

Whatever level you play at, an MPX snare is a great choice. As a first snare or as an affordable addition to a larger kit.
