Mapex Mars Birch Crossover is a 5-piece shell pack in birch with the Twilight Sparkle finish. The drum kit is built in a 1 up 2 down configuration for a powerful rock sound.

Construction

The shells are built in 6 plies of birch with a thickness of 7.2mm. The bass drum measures 22" in diameter and 18" in depth, the mounted tom is 12" with 8" depth, the floor toms are 14" with 12" depth and 16" with 14" depth, and the snare drum is 14" with 6.5" depth. The edges are cut using the SONIClear Bearing Edge technology.

Sound

The kit has a fast, clear tone with quick rebound and a strong fundamental that makes it easy to tune, especially at lower tunings. The attack is clear with a solid bottom end, and the kit is easy to tune and control with a great low end. The overall sound is deep, balanced and responsive.

Function

The mounted tom sits in a floating suspension mount for maximum resonance. The bass drum claws are isolated, and the hardware on the kit is chrome-plated.

Included

The kit comes with 1 tom holder TH800. Cymbals, stands, pedal and throne are not included. The drum kit suits both live and studio use.
