Mapex PF1000TW

Product Description

The PF1000TW is Mapex's Falcon series double bass drum pedal, built for players who want a smooth, dialed-in feel without endless tinkering. It comes set up right from the factory, with interchangeable drives and beater weights so you can tailor the feel to your own taste.

• Interchangeable drives (chain, strap, or direct drive) for different feel between your left and right foot
• Interchangeable beater weights plus adjustable beater angle to fine-tune torque and power
• Adjustable footboard height
• Self-Adjusting Hoop Clamp
• Reduced base plate size, making it easier to fit around snare stand legs and closer to the hi-hat pedal

Design and feel

The Falcon design was influenced and road tested by a team of artists who wanted an incredibly smooth feel with simple adjustability. The settings are dialed-in at the factory, so it feels good right out of the bag with only minor adjustments needed to fit individual tastes. That means more time playing and less time adjusting.

Interchangeable drives

The interchangeable drives let you buy just one pedal while still being free to experiment with the differences between chain, strap, and direct drive feels. It also lets double-pedal players run different drives on each pedal to balance the feel between the left and right feet.

Fine-tuning power and placement

The interchangeable beater weights, adjustable footboard height, and adjustable beater angle allow for simple and fine adjustment of torque and power. The smaller base plate makes it easy to position a double pedal around snare stand legs and closer to the hi-hat pedal.
