Mapex B400 Boom Cymbal Stand - Chrome
Product Description
The Mapex B400 belongs to the Storm Series, Mapex's medium-weight hardware line built to be durable and affordable without cutting the features you actually use. The stand is double-braced throughout, giving you the stability you need when a cymbal sits out on a boom arm and pulls at the balance point.
The multi-angle boom arm folds through several positions, so the stand packs down compact for storage and transport and is quick to set up again at rehearsal or a gig. Height adjusts across three tiers, and both the boom and the cymbal tilter use multi-step adjustment, so you can dial in the exact angle and height you want. The tubing is kept slim, which makes the stand lighter to carry despite the double-braced legs, which in turn keep the whole thing planted on the floor. The feet are slip-proof, a detail that matters most on worn or slightly uneven rehearsal room floors.
The cymbal sits on Multi-Sustain cymbal felts, included with the stand, giving the cymbal room to ring naturally instead of choking the sound against metal.
This stand comes in a chrome finish (a black-plated option also exists in the Storm Series). A solid choice if you want a sturdy, budget-friendly boom stand that's easy to break down and carry – rather than if you're chasing the absolute lightest or most compact stand on the market.
