The Dixon Magnetic Drop Clutch (Coady Clutch) is a hi-hat clutch that uses strong magnets to hold the hi-hat cymbal in place. A clever tilt function releases the magnets the instant you strike the top of the unit, giving you a fast and reliable drop function without any hassle.
The Magnetic Drop Clutch consists of a set of very strong magnets that hold the hi-hat cymbal in place. Through the tilt function, the magnets release their hold when you strike the top of the unit.
If you want to give your hi-hat even more functionality, we recommend the combo package. It includes the Magnetic Drop Clutch, Trip-arm and Wash control. The Trip-arm lets you control the entire drop function with your pedal. With Wash control, you can adjust the gap between the two hi-hat cymbals when the drop function is engaged.
