Product Description

The Ludwig Neusonic Fast Mod in Blue Sparkle is a 4-piece shell pack made in the USA at Ludwig's factory in Monroe, North Carolina. The Neusonic series is built for the high-velocity working drummer who wants professional tone and light weight without the professional price tag, and this set uses the compact Rapid Tom sizes.

The Neusonic Fast Mod shells are 6-ply crossover constructions: a 3-ply maple exterior and a 3-ply cherry interior, measuring 5 mm thick, for optimal resonance and sustain. (The general Neusonic series description also states a 7-ply, 5.5 mm shell with a 4-ply maple exterior and 3-ply cherry interior. See notes for this discrepancy in the source material.) The shells are formed using Ludwig's RFST (Radio Frequency Technology) process, based on the brand's original bladder molds from the 1960s. A unique bonding system combined with a specialized adhesive cures each shell evenly across its entire surface. What Ludwig calls a principal ingredient of the "Ludwig Sound".

Bearing Edge

The shells feature a single 45-degree bearing edge with a 1/16" back cut, offering wide-range tuning and optimal sustain.

Heads

The set ships standard with Evans USA heads: G1 Coated batter heads and G1 Clear resonant heads on the toms, plus an EQ4 batter head and EQ3 resonant head on the bass drum.

Finish

Neusonic is available in seven finishes, and this set comes in Blue Sparkle.
