Ludwig LB484R Imperial Lugs 14x8" - Raw Brass
Raw brass snare drum, 14x8", Imperial Lugs. Dry response and a unique industrial look, no two shells alike.
Product Description
The Ludwig LB484R is a raw brass shell snare drum, 14x8", built for players who love the dry, focused response of a Black Beauty but want a completely unique, unfinished look. The shell is left unplated, giving it a distinctive "earthy" surface where no two shells look exactly alike. Fitted with Imperial Lugs and heavy-duty steel hoops.
- Raw, unplated brass finish with a unique look, no two shells alike
- Dry response in the spirit of the Black Beauty series
- Heavy-duty 2.3mm steel triple-flanged hoops
- P88AC throw off and P35P butt plate
- Comes fitted with Ludwig Weather Master heads
- 10 lugs (Imperial Lugs)
Sound and Feel
The brass shell gives this snare a dry response with plenty of attitude in the attack, the same character that's made Ludwig's brass snares popular among drummers who want clarity over long sustain. The raw, unplated surface makes every shell unique in appearance, a detail the manufacturer itself highlights.
Heads and Hardware
The drum ships with a Ludwig Weather Master Medium Coated batter head and a Ludwig Weather Master Clear snare-side head. The hoops are 2.3mm steel triple-flanged, and the snare side is handled by a P88AC throw off together with a P35P butt plate.
Who It's For
A great choice if you already know the Black Beauty series and want the same dry response, but in a rawer, more industrial finish where every shell is one of a kind.
