The Atlas Standard is Ludwig's single bass drum pedal for the gigging professional who wants reliable, medium/heavy-weight hardware without the extra weight to haul around. The new Speedster lightweight aluminum pedal board keeps things light and responsive, while the build holds up for medium-to-large venues.

The pedal runs on a dual chain and sprocket drive and features an improved spring mechanism with ball bearing pivots on both ends of the spring, reducing resistance and increasing spring life. That means consistent feel from gig to gig.

Adjustment and feel

Beater angle and footboard angle are independently adjustable, so you can dial in the exact feel you want. The beater itself is dual-surface with a memory lock, letting you snap back to your preferred setting after a soundcheck. The hoop clamp is side adjustable for a secure fit on the bass drum hoop.

Build

A solid steel baseplate gives the pedal the stability needed for live use, while the lightweight aluminum footboard keeps overall weight down. The result is an affordably priced pedal that's easy for stage crew to move and tough enough for regular use at medium-to-large venues.
