Ludwig Atlas Pro Hi Hat
Product Description
The Atlas Pro Hi-Hat Stand is built for the touring professional: heavy-weight, durable, and engineered to take full-impact play night after night. Its new Centroid stability system and progressive pedal action give you a stand that stays put and responds precisely, even at speed.
- Rock-solid base that still leaves room for double pedal setups
- Rotating bottom cymbal that locks at any angle
- Progressive pedal feel from light touch to full power
- Quick break-down for easy transport
- Quiet in use thanks to nylon-lined tubing
Stability at the Base
The patent-pending Centroid 3-point stability system elevates the rear portion of the foundation plate, forming a functioning tripod together with the stand's heavy, double-braced legs. This creates extra room for multiple pedal setups and allows seamless double-pedal play right next to the stand. SpurLok heel plate anchors, positioned directly under the heel plate, add further grip and stability for slip-free performance.
Pedal Feel and Bottom Cymbal
Progressive Action Linkage transfers power progressively from speed to strength as the pedal moves through the stroke, giving quick response and precise control against the closed hi-hats. The footboard angle is infinitely adjustable, and the spring tension offers six points of adjustment to dial in the exact feel you want. The patent-pending Aerodisc bottom cymbal tilter rotates and locks at any angle, so the bottom hat sits exactly where you need it.
Build and Handling
The Vice-Grip tube joint wraps fully around the clamped tube for a rock-solid grip with minimal stress on the tubing, while an integrated memory lock makes it fast to return to your set height. The base legs rotate and stand on vibration-reducing rubber feet, and nylon-lined tubing eliminates stand noise. The footboard uses a modern-classic design with a removable toe stop, CAD-designed for the best balance of light weight and high strength. The whole stand breaks down easily via the locking, inclined foundation plate at the center of the Centroid system, making transport worry-free.
