The Ludwig Atlas Classic is a fully adjustable bass drum pedal with both chain and strap drive options, built for fast response and long-term durability. Its lightweight aluminum cam and foldable wire frame base make it easy to pack up, while bearing-supported spring action and bronze sleeve bearings keep every stroke smooth and consistent.

Drive and Construction

The pedal is driven by a Monarch dual-chain drive cam that delivers smooth, fluid action without sacrificing power. The stainless-steel drive shaft is machine tooled for precise rotation and easy adjustability. The cam and beater clamp are made of lightweight aluminum, reducing rotation weight and improving stroke.

Beater and Footboard

The beater is a Tri-Felt "red stripe" made of medium-density felt for punchy attack and full sound, featuring a lightweight aluminum hub, stainless steel shaft, and laser-engraved "Atlas" beater cap. The footboard uses a modern-classic design with a removable toe stop, CAD designed and optimized for a balance of light weight and high strength. Maintenance-free bronze sleeve bearings positioned in the heel of the footboard provide durability and smooth action.

Mounting

A multi-positioning hoop clamp is a non-marring clip that adjusts to the diameter of the drum for less damage to the hoop. An Atlas drum key with a storage clip on the baseplate is included.
