The Ludwig Acro Brass is a 14x6.5" snare drum with a seamless brass shell and brushed finish, built on the format of the classic NYC Board of Ed. Acrolite from the 60s and 70s. With 10 Small Twin Lugs it delivers a well-balanced tone and clear projection, for players who want that historic format in a new alloy.

The Acrolite snare was originally introduced in 1964 as a student-level aluminum snare drum. Over more than 50 years it has earned a reputation for professional-level build standards and performance. The Acro Series is the next chapter of the Acrolite legacy, offered in two new alloys: copper and brass. This model features a 1-piece seamless Phonic shell in brass, 1 mm thick, with a brushed finish.

The format follows the elusive NYC Board of Ed. 6.5x14" Acrolite of the 60s/70s, and the drum uses a 10-twin lugs format for a well-balanced tone and projection.
