Product Description
The Ludwig Universal Metal is a 14x8" brass snare drum with a dark, warm tone and rich dynamic range. Modeled after the legendary Black Beauty, it's built to work with a wide variety of tunings and head combinations.
The shell is 1mm all-brass with a black nickel plating, delivering a full, powerful core tone with strong projection. Chrome triple-flanged hoops help keep tuning stable and add a crisp attack. The drum features heavy-duty tube lugs for durable, precise tuning, a P88i throw-off, and a P35 butt plate. A 20-strand set of snare wires provides quick response and sensitive, clear snare buzz.
Construction
