Product Description
The Ludwig Universal Metal is a 14x5.5" brass snare drum built for optimal response, sensitivity and a dark, warm tone. The brass shell delivers a rich, dynamic range that works with a wide variety of tunings and head combinations, making it just as at home in the practice room as on stage.

Construction
The shell is built from 1mm all-brass, finished in black nickel-plating for a matte, dark look. The drum is modeled after Ludwig's legendary Black Beauty and fitted with the same style of heavy-duty hardware: tube lugs, die-cast hoops, a P88i throw-off and a P35 butt plate. The snare wires are 20-strand for a crisp, responsive feel.
