You can also order chrome print or printing on chrome (special order), and choose between glossy (standard) or matte finish.

Tips for the best result

Stage lighting combined with strong spotlights makes contrast in the print crucial for visibility at a distance. In our experience, simple, high-contrast designs work best – avoid fine details. Vector file formats (e.g. EPS or Adobe Illustrator) always give the best quality and require the least prep work. If sending a bitmap file (JPG/PNG), it should have a resolution of at least 300 DPI for optimal sharpness and accurate reproduction.

If the print is to cover the entire head, note that we print approximately 10 mm onto the edges and require an additional 3 mm bleed margin.

How to order

Place your order, then send your artwork to info@trumslagaren.se. If the file is larger than 5 MB, please use a file transfer service such as WeTransfer. Adobe Illustrator templates are available on request. For Photoshop files, please include a circular outline in a separate layer representing the drum head's contour – otherwise describe your desired size and placement.

• If you purchase a Holz or Kickport (not just the ring), we include hole cutting and installation for a microphone hole. We always recommend a reinforcement ring like Holz when cutting a hole, as it reduces the risk of cracking.

Is the drum head included in the price?

No, the drum head is not included. Please add your preferred head to your cart along with the print.

What drum heads do you recommend?

We generally recommend a smooth and thin head such as Remo Ambassador Smooth White or Remo Ambassador Ebony for optimal adhesion. We also offer affordable options from Aquarian and smooth heads from Evans.

Does the print affect the sound?

Any modification to the head can affect the sound to some extent. We always recommend printing on thin heads like the Ambassador. Even full-surface prints are still thinner overall than a Remo Emperor head.

Can you add a microphone hole?

If you purchase a Holz or Kickport (not just the ring), we include hole cutting and installation. We always recommend a reinforcement ring like Holz to prevent cracking.

What's the delivery time?

We batch print to keep prices low. Normal delivery time is 10–15 business days but depends on current demand. For urgent orders, we offer express handling at an additional cost – some prints can be completed within a few days after proof approval.

Can you remove the manufacturer's logo (e.g., Remo)?

Yes, we can remove logos from all smooth heads unless you specifically want to keep them. If keeping the logo, ensure your design accommodates its placement.

What print techniques do you use?

We use vinyl cut graphics, digital print, and contour-cut digital print.

Is the print glossy or matte?

Our prints are glossy by default, but a matte finish is available as an option.

Do you offer chrome, gold, or other special materials?

Under certain conditions, we can print on Remo Starfire Chrome or Starfire Gold. In some cases, we can also use chrome, silver, or gold-colored ink, depending on the design. These prints require extra work and materials, so contact us for a price quote.

Can you print on transparent heads?

Yes, but transparency presents unique challenges in both design and print method. Please send us your artwork first for evaluation, and select "Special Print" when ordering.

What is the expected print lifespan?

All prints are guaranteed not to fade or peel. Estimated indoor lifespan is up to 7 years.

What is a print copy?

If you order a duplicate print (for example for double bass drums or reordering within 2 years), you pay only half price compared to a new original print.
