LogJam Stomp Box
Product Description
LogJam's Stomp Boxes give you the function of a bass drum, or a snare drum in the Rattlebox model, without having to carry a physical drum with you. Perfect for percussionists, troubadours and anyone else who wants a warm, subtle bass drum sound straight into a PA or amplifier. Just plug into your sound system of choice and you're ready to stomp.
The products are hand-built in England from sapele and fitted with a grippy rubber base that holds the box firmly to the floor while you stomp. The chassis connector comes from Neutrik, and every model ships with a 3-year warranty. The sound is taken out through the line output, so you can plug the stomp box straight into a PA system or amplifier to add an acoustic bass drum or snare feel to your playing, without needing to bring along a full drum.
Models to choose from
The range consists of six models, all sharing the same basic function but differing in size, design and, in the case of Rattlebox, sound character:
- Logarhythm Mk3. The most popular model in the range, now in an updated version. Unlike the other LogJam products, the surface is chamfered, making it more comfortable to play on during longer sessions.
- Microlog 2. A smaller format, sized specifically to fit on a pedalboard alongside other effects pedals. Works just as well on its own.
- Prolog. The flagship model in the range, ergonomically shaped and the most premium stomp box on offer. It also has sensors on the rear section, so you can play with your heel too. Made from solid sapele.
- Rattlebox. The newest model in the family. Unlike the other products, Rattlebox gives you the function of a snare drum instead of a bass drum. You can stomp on it or play it with, for example, brushes or your hands.
- Travelog 2. Shares the same characteristics as Logarhythm but in a smaller format, easy to bring along on the road as the name suggests.
- Black Mamba. The same ergonomic shape as Prolog, with sensors on the rear section for heel playing too. Made from solid sapele with a Neutrik output and a grippy rubber base.
Who it's for
A good option if you play acoustically or semi-acoustically and want to add a bass drum or snare drive without carrying a full drum around. Works just as well in the rehearsal room as on a small stage or at gigs where space is limited.
