Meinl Percussion Tril
Liquid-filled effects triangle that creates evocative, sweeping sounds when tilted.
Product Description
The Meinl Tril is a creative effects instrument rather than a standard triangle. Its dome is filled with liquid and has a thin metal plate at the bottom, and by playing the instrument while tilting it so the liquid moves, you get evocative, sweeping sound effects.
This is an instrument for players who want to build atmosphere and add unexpected layers of color to a composition or improvisation, rather than a rhythmic instrument. By controlling the liquid's movement with your wrist, you can shape the sound from short, sparkling bursts to long, sweeping swells. An effect that's hard to achieve with traditional percussion.
