Latin percussion Exotic 10"x1"
Claves (Exotic) by Latin Percussion, 10" x 1" kiln-dried exotic hardwood. Bright, cracking sound for Latin rhythms.
Product Description
The Latin Percussion Traditional Clave Exotic is a pair of claves crafted from kiln-dried exotic hardwood, 10" L x 1" W per stick. Clave is the foundational rhythmic pattern for much of Latin music, and this pair delivers a bright, cracking sound with a moderately pitched, classic clicking tone.
Clave is typically played by striking the two wooden sticks together. One held loosely in the palm to act as a resonating chamber, the other used as the striker. The kiln-dried exotic hardwood construction gives a stable, consistent tone that cuts clearly through a rhythm section without turning thin or harsh.
Since both sticks in the pair share the same dimensions (10" L x 1" W), either one can be used as the striker or the resonating clave, just as traditional clave technique calls for.
Who It's For
A natural choice if you play salsa, son, rumba or other Latin music styles and want an authentic, classic clave sound for rehearsal or the stage.
