Product Description
Chrome-plated tension rods, model LPA256, for LP Aspire Timbales. This set is for replacing worn or damaged original rods on your timbales.
Latin Percussion was founded in 1964 by Martin Cohen, a mechanical engineer from the Bronx who fell for Latin jazz at New York's Birdland club. Unable to source high-quality Cuban bongos due to trade embargoes, he built his own instead, and went on to grow LP into one of the world's most widely used percussion brands, covering congas, bongos, cowbells, timbales, cajons, shakers and effect percussion.
The rods have inch thread with a diameter of 6 mm and a length of 40 mm (without head), of which 40 mm is usable thread. The package includes 6 rods with washers. No threaded sleeve is included, so check that your timbale already has the sleeves fitted before ordering. It's a good idea to measure your original rod's diameter and length to confirm LPA256 is the right fit for your setup.
