Product Description
Bottom rubber lip for Latin Percussion's City Series congas, made for the 11" LP646NY and LP647NY models. The lip is made of rubber and sits at the bottom edge of the shell, where it keeps a tight seal against the hoop and absorbs wear that would otherwise hit the shell directly.
A good choice if you need to replace a worn or damaged bottom rim on your City Series conga instead of buying a whole new drum. Latin Percussion (LP) was founded in 1964 by Martin Cohen and is today regarded as one of the most established names in congas, bongos and other Latin percussion instruments, heard on thousands of recordings from classic salsa to classic rock. The City Series is part of that range, and this rubber lip is sold as a standalone spare part for it.
