Product Description
Conga head from Latin Percussion in the Matador T-SS-X Rims model, size 11" (Quinto), made from untanned buffalo hide. The head delivers a full, traditional conga sound in standard head quality and suits players looking for an LP replacement head with broad hoop compatibility.
Matador heads are LP's standard-quality heads, used on congas worldwide from classic salsa to modern Latin jazz. The head is approximately 1.5 mm thick and has a head height of approximately 33 mm when new.
Fit and Hoop Compatibility
This head fits all LP Traditional, Soft Strike and X Series conga hoops in their respective sizes, meaning it has the same fit as an "M26/LP26" head. The hoop determines the outer diameter of the head, while the size specification defines the crown diameter at the bearing edge. The outer diameter of "LP26/M26" heads is always 9.5 mm less than the outer diameter of "LP27" conga heads at the same crown diameter, so always check which hoop type your conga has before replacing the head.
