Latin percussion Legends John Rodriguez Macho Hand Picked 7"

Product Description

Untreated buffalo hide bongo head from LP's Legends series, a signature model developed with John Rodriguez (model LPL201A-JR, MPN LPL263A). The head is hand picked in size 7" (Macho) for an even, dependable tone, and fits LP Traditional and X Series bongo hoops in the corresponding size.

• Hand selected premium head
• Material: untanned buffalo hide, stamped with the LP Legends logo
• Thickness: approx. 1 mm
• Head height (when new): approx. 30 mm

Every head in the Legends series is hand picked before it leaves the factory, giving more consistent tone from head to head than a machine-sorted head. It's this selection process, not just the material, that makes the Legends line LP's premium choice for bongo players who want a predictable result every time they change heads.

The head fits all LP Traditional and X Series hoops in the corresponding size. The hoop determines the head's outer diameter, while the stated size refers to the crown diameter of the bearing edge. The largest shell diameter of the bongo or djembe. This was done to harmonize sizing with Remo and LP conga heads. For LP bongos with a 5 1/2", 7 1/4" or 8 5/8" hoop size, use a 5 1/4", 7" or 8.5" head respectively.
